"simplify" a poem

I’m working mornings now – can you believe it? I worked out this poem today: I’ve been thinking about how to simplify my life. Hence the poem.

Daniel Christopher June

Simplify

Simplicity’s necessity

Is to knit a finer destiny

Quit the stitch by ten fold

   Cut a subtler history.

Drop all but a few bare beads

Know all you own by name

What shows your goals, a few thin needs

   Let that alone remain.

Edit to hell the excess of words

Urge to turn your work down by a third.

Perfection

Is

Easy
